Manistique Area Attractions
The downtown section of Manistique is located just off of US-2. Manistique has
preserved the feeling of yesteryear with it's historic buildings and downtown shops. One can appreciate the small town feeling while visiting Manistique.
Manistique is home of Michigan's largest freshwater spring, the Manistique East
Breakwater Lighthouse, and the Manistique Boardwalk along Lake Michigan, just to name a few of our attractions. Pictured Rocks National Shoreline is
north of us. Fayette Historic State Park is to our west. Seney National Wildlife Refuge is northeast of us. Seul Choix Point Light is a short drive to our east.
And Lake Michigan is directly on the southern end.
Manistique is lovely anytime of year. Come in the summer and walk the Boardwalk while enjoying the southern breeze off of Lake Michigan. Come in the autumn and view the fall colors. Come in the late fall and early winter months, and watch the sunrise directly in front of Northshore Motel on Lake Michigan.
Come in the spring and watch nature come alive in the U.P. Anytime is a good time to enjoy the north shore of Lake Michigan at the Northshore Motel.
Shopping, Dining and Worship
Driving through Manistique, you will find many businesses to meet your needs. There is a laundromat and car wash in town, several choices for dining, shops line the main street downtown, as well as taverns and sports bars. Manistique is home of the Kewadin Casino with a shuttle service and dining room. There is a winery next to the marina. The largest gift shop in the U.P. is just east of town. And, within walking distance from Northshore Motel, is a superb grocery store with a great bakery and hot food to go.
Manistique is also home to many churches. There is a directory in the rooms at Northshore Motel.
